to recruit new members?
CALL TO CONVENTION
STORM will host its first annual convention at Michigan State University’s Student Union Bldg on Wednesday April 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Our agenda will focus upon organizational issues , drug driving training and the long-awaited group photo shoot at the State Capital. Uniforms and patrol cars will be needed.
Dr. Dennis Simpson will teach the COLES certified NHTSA/IACP approved Introduction to Drugged Driving curriculum.
The training will be open to the law enforcement community at $30 per officer, however, there will be no cost to STORM members.

INITIATIVE PROGRAM AWARD’S
Performance Awards will be presented at the conference. To ensure that every member is properly recognized for the efforts they expended during the past year to make Michigan a safer place, all members are asked to fax or mail the tabulated INITIATIVE POINT SHEET to Sgt. Jonathan Uribe at 616 337-8033; by April 20th.
WELCOME ABOARD
On March 22nd, the Oakland County Sheriff Department Alcohol Enforcement joined STORM. For the past twenty years, the officers of this highly pro-active unit have reduced alcohol related mishaps in Oakland County. Their presence is discouraging drunken driving!
MICHIGAN’S WORST-OF-THE-WORST
DRUNK DRIVING OFFENDERS
Send us your repeat offender arrest data. Participation provides media publicity for the arresting officer as it educates the reader.
Submit the completed "Worst of the Worst Drunk Driving Offender" data sheet to Sgt. Jonathan Uribe through the web-site, by mail or by faxing the information to (616) 337-8033.
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
As of March 31st , we have grown to 61 members, however, we could increase our membership considerably if every member would recruit at least one new member, who would in turn, then, recruit another member.
